Eliminate Spider Veins

Even out skin colour for a more youthful rejuvenated look
Decrease fine lines and wrinkles

How does it work for skin treatments?
IPL treatments are performed using a handheld device that delivers a broad spectrum of light onto the skin’s surface. The wavelengths of light penetrate deep into the skin tissue to stimulate the cells beneath the skin’s surface, and triggers the body’s response to eliminates injured tissues and dead skin cells.
Treatments are typically administered in a series of 4-6 treatments performed at intervals of a minimum of 2 weeks. Spreading the treatment over this period provides a gradual improvement of the skin, minimal amount of adverse effects and preserves the important “no downtime” feature of the treatment.
Is IPL the same as Laser?
IPL technology is based on the same principle as laser but emits a broad spectrum of pulsed light to reach several layers of the skin simultaneously, improving the texture, quality, colour and health of your skin. It can treat multiple conditions simultaneously; including broken veins and capillaries, redness of the skin, age spots, and pigmentation.
What are the benefits of IPL Photo Rejuvenation?
In addition to improving uneven skin color, sun damage, facial redness (Rosacea), and pigmentation, the heat energy stimulates new collagen production beneath the skin surface, firming and rejuvenating the skin. After a course of treatments at intervals spaced 2 weeks apart the skin will appear more luminous, brighter and smoother. Improvements can be seen 10 days following the first treatment and enhanced results can be seen with each subsequent treatment. The results continue to improve long after the treatment, as IPL stimulates your own natural collagen to rebuild and rejuvenate the skin.

How it works
Hair grows in cycles that lasts several months. Only hairs in a certain part of the growth cycle can be destroyed so multiple treatments are needed to remove all unwanted hair. Everyone is different when it comes to the number of treatments needed. Typically 4–6 treatments remove all unwanted hair but in some cases up to 8 treatments may be necessary. Treatments are ideally carried out every 6 weeks in order to catch the optimum number of hairs in the growth cycle.
Over a person’s life time hormonal changes will cause new hair to begin to grow. It may be necessary to have an occasional maintenance treatment to be free from these new random hairs.
Initially you will have a consultation with your therapist who will discuss the treatment with you and make you aware of how to prepare for your first treatment. The main thing to remember is the area to be treated should be cleanly shaven and not be tanned.
Glasses are worn by the client and therapist to protect the eyes from each burst of light. A cold gel is applied to each treatment area then your therapist will apply the treatment via an applicator head. A Pulse of light is delivered to the skin. A sensation like an elastic band pinging against the skin is felt.
Your treatment will last between five minutes and an hour depending on the size of the area to be treated.
After your treatment a moisturising cream is applied to your skin and you are advised to avoid the skin being exposed to the sun.
IPL has a positive effect on the skin as it stimulates collagen production and evens out the tone of sun damaged skin. Often after hair removal treatment skin looks and feels improved. There is a notable increase in the fullness of the skin and the appearance of acne, scars, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles are improved. Treatment on skin where Psoriasis, Eczema or any other dermatological conditions are present should be avoided. Individual raised moles should not be treated; your therapist will apply a suitable cover to these at the time of treatment.
Once the course of treatment is complete, you will enjoy a smooth and hair free body or face. No longer will you be burdened with the regime of shaving , waxing or plucking. Say goodbye to stubble rash and ingrown hairs for good. Find a new confidence and be happy with the skin you’re in.
